So this game came out on the virtual console earlier today, and I had forgotten how good it was. It's soo freakin awsome. Anyone still have this classic, or got it on the Wii like me?

Not only do I still have the original Sonic 2, I have a SEGA Genesis to play it on.

Well, what good would the original copy be with out a SEGA Genesis? XD I usr to have it, but my parents sold our Genesis along with all the games, so I've been old school Sonicless for quite a while. I was hoping to rebuild the collection on my Wii. So far I've got Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Those are the only game available in the Sonic seres on the virtual console. Well, beside Sonic Spinball and Dr. Robtnik's Mean Bean Machine, but I wasn't really that fond of either game.

I'm with BTG, I only liked sonic 2 because of the code, sonic 3 was probably my favorite one just because. But Sonic and knuckles probably had the coolest effect (play sonic 2 or 3 with knuckles). Oh did anyone here play alter beast? if so do you know whatever happened to the remake?

Well, there were a few cartoon series based on Sonic.... But Sonic started as a game character and thats what he's best known as.

There has been a few Sonic series (The kiddy one with Urkel, the action-y one, and Sonic X to name a few) but the original games were...awesomeness.
Like BTG (Although I don't say this as much as he does, which is whenever ANYONE brings up an older system) I have my original Genesis and the first three Sonic games.
Although, my favorite was 3D. But that's just me.

I actually kinda hated 3d. My favorite would either be Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Sonic Adventure 2.
