I know this is old news but why did johnny damon decline so much after joining the yankees like sure he is still ok but he used to be amazing.

What are you talking about?
Johnny Damon is having a great year. All his offensive and defensive numbers are up from the previous few years.
Just because he is with the Yankees doesn't mean he's doing bad.
